I will be a senior next year so I have been preparing for this schedule my entire high school. I noticed as an incoming senior I was not given as much as advice as the underclassmen and I also noticed I knew what I wanted. I am glad to have the freedom to leave early and have a flexible schedule next year. I wish there was a system that allowed people to give their guidance. Freshman should speak to sophomores, sophomores to juniors, and so on. It did not make sense to me that freshman were talking to seniors who have not taken those classes in a while and many things have changed.

Reading Resolutions

My resolution pertaining to books is to read more and to find books thats are more of my interest. I don't particularly like reading so maybe if I read books that I actually like I will be able to read more. I know all the benefits that reading has and I would like to gain from them. I could achieve this goal by going to the the library and take a closer look at the genre sections or even ask the librarian for some book suggestions. Reading more will make me a better reader obviously and allow me to read at a quicker pace and to understand the text as well. Image result for books

New House Steward Interview Questions

INTERVIEW QUESTIONS
Goals:
  1. To develop an environment of care and creativity for student LEADERs.
  2. To promote enthusiastic group dialogue, reflection, and problem solving much like we strive to create on a daily basis as LEADERs at Thomas Nelson.

Feel free to utilize these questions as a starting point to interview potential House Stewards. Should additional questions arise, feel free to deviate from the conversation to pursue additional avenues to learn more about the potential Steward.

  1. What qualities do you possess that would make you a good House Steward?
  2. If we gave someone $5.00 to tell us three of your weaknesses, what would they say?
  3. What are you passionate about?
  4. What do you consider to be your greatest accomplishment?
  5. If you could change two things in your House, what would they be and why?
  6. What are two elements of your House that you love?
  7. How do you work at your best: individually, in groups, etc?
  8. Are you comfortable with stepping out of your comfort zone to work with House LEADERs and Stewards you may not know?
  9. Can you work self-sufficiently, responsible for your own tasks, and accomplish your goals without someone prompting you?
  10. Why do you want to be a House Steward?
  11. Why should you be a House Steward?
